I am very excited to now be playing with Beverly Bandits 18U Gold (Conroy).
Our team had our first practice Sunday and it was great!
I don't have all of the details yet but, our schedule for this Fall looks like this so far:
Oct. 2-3 Sparks Showcase - Elgin, IL
Oct. 9-10 Sugar Land College Classic - Sugar Land, TX
Oct. 23-24 Midland Magic Fall Softball Showcase - University of Illinois Springfield
Oct. 29-31 St. Louis Softball Showcase - St. Louis, MO.
Nov. 5-8 ESPN Rise Sun Classic - Orlando, FL

 | Home from 16U ASA/USA Nationals
Well, we're back from Nationals and we were done playing a lot sooner than I thought we would be.
We got to face some good competition. We started with a scrimmage against the O.C. Batbusters who ended up winning it all. They are really tough! We played pretty well in a 3-1 loss.
Another really tough team we played was the Oklahoma Diamond Girls. I think they ended up finishing like 7th overall. We played them in our 2nd game in the winner's bracket and they were tough.  | Off to ASA Nationals - College Station TX !!!
We're headed to Texas later today for ASA Nationals! I don't know what our schedule is yet or who is in our pool but I can't wait! This is what it's all about.
We are scrimmaging with OC Batbusters on Sunday morning at 11 AM at Veterans Park, Field 2. After that, it's show time! I know we better bring our "A" game or it will be an early and long trip home.
Last weekend we played 16/18U at GAPSS in Columbus, OH. We went 4-0 and won out pool before the rain washed out the bracket games. I played and hit good. I had another homerun and was on base a lot. I hope I stay hot at the plate... |
| Next up - GAPSS
This past weekend in Elgin, IL we played at the Sparks tournament. This was my fifth time I've played in this tournament and it is one of my favorites. After doing well in pool play, we had a disappointing finish. We had a really bad game in the elimination bracket and went home a lot earlier than I think we should have. Overall, I played pretty well. I caught all 6 of our games and think I hit good most of the games. I ended up with a few singles, a few doubles, and a homerun. But playing bad and losing so early sure made the trip home a long one.

The past 2 w/e's went pretty well for me and Lasers '94.
2 w/e's ago we were in Savannah, GA for the Southern Stars Showcase. I had a very good tournament hitting and think I did a good job behind the plate. As a team we went 4-1.
This past w/e at Best of the Best 18U in Massillon. OH was a good test for us. We faced much tougher competition including 3 games against teams that have 7 players with a year of college softball experience and pretty much the rest will be playing in college next year. It was tough competiton and we went 3-3-1 in the showcase. The pitching we faced was good... |
| Best of the Best Showcase this w/e
This w/e my team (Ohio Lasers '94) and I will be playing some of the toughest 18U teams in Ohio at the Best of the Best Showcase in Massillon, Ohio. It will be a good test for us.
I am really looking forward to playing against my friend Alex Marcantonio and Ohio Wolfpack Black. Alex is the best player I know and they will be tough!

| Caught for the U.S. National team practice!
Last Monday and Tuesday were sweet!
After getting home early Monday morning (4 am) from winning the Ohio 16U ASA State tournament I got a surprise phone call at about 11am.
The U.S.A. Women's National Team was in town to play a game Weds night. They had practices and needed some catchers to catch their pitchers for their workouts and I got asked to come help.
Monday I got to catch Jordan Taylor and Angela Tincher and Tuesday I got to catch Stacy Nelson, Blaire Luna and Cat!
It was awesome!
