Chatfield rally comes up just short
By Dan Johnson
Chatfield’s 2009 softball home opener resembled a grand fireworks show.

“We’re disappointed we didn’t come all the way back, but we’re happy that we did fight back... |

The Chargers cranked out 15 hits against the Cougars, and Love’s bat was responsible in five runs crossing the plate – albeit three runs came via an error in right field during the Chargers’... |

“It’s an unbelievable feeling,” said senior pitcher, Lexi Love, who dominated on the mound, striking out 14 batters and allowing just two hits. “Making it to state is so special because we know it’s been a long time since a team from Chatfield has made... |
