KRUSHERZ COACHES I love the coaches we have this year. Our coaches are Kattrina Dowd from USF, Crystal Crews form University of Maryland, Coach Tara from USF, Coach Brandi from Indian River. They work us hard, I guess like they were worked in college - I am lovin it! |
Catching up................ gosh, seems like forever since I have been on here. I guess with the season starting and school winding down, I had lots going on. School is over!!!!!!!! No more baby school and on to high school. First tournament with the Krusherz, The Bombers memorials was a wash out. we got two games in and the rains washed things out. We lost our two games. I went 1-3 with 2 rbi's. I was a little nervous pitching for this new team and started out rough. gave up all 4 runs in the first two innings. I settled down after that, but we lost 4-3 |
TEAM UPDATE High school is out and travel teams are reshaping themselves. I am starting this season with the 16u Krusherz team. they were looking for a number 1 and I am up for the task. First tourney with them with be the Bombers memorial Qualifier in Clearwater over Memorial weekend. Practices have been awesome!!!! Lookig forward to a new competitive travel ball season - stay tuned!!!!!! |
BUST AT QUALIFIER!!! My team and I the Sharks didn't fair to well at this qualifier. We went 3-2 and lost prior to the quarters. While I didn't pitch, I had an amzing weeknd playing third. Lots of action on the corner and I made all but one play coming my way. I went 3-9 at the plate. This was my last tournament with the Sharks. My temporary team while all the 16u teams were on break for high school |
Ok second day We ended up taking second in this tournament. we had a one run lead when time expired, but we couldnt hold on. All in all a pretty good tournmament. I went 3 for 5 with a triple. great hitting weekend for me and actually the whole team hit pretty well. I ended the tournament going 11 for 15, a whopping .733 avg - cool! |
Day One in the Books Great first day of two day tournament today. My team won our first two seed games and then our next three elimination games - woohoo! We played 5 games and won all 5. I went 8 for 9 with two walks. GREAT DAY will be even better if we win the whole thing tomorrow |
 | HITTING I began taking hitting lessons with Roy Silver at the Winning Inning in Clearwater. roy spent sometime with the Cardinals and says he will teach me to hit like a big leauger |
SHARKS WIN ANOTHER My guest team and I took first place in this past weekends St. Patty Day Classic in Bradenton. we only gave up 1 run in 4 games. I went 3 for 5. I had a baseloaded triple, a double and a single with 2 walks I ended up with 5 total RBI's. pitched one game and gave up only 1 hit, no runs. spent the rest of the weekend at 3rd base and had no action - whats that all about???? |
Pitching/Fielding I started taking pitching and fielding lessons with Crystal Crews, former University of Maryland pitcher and 3rd base. I only had one lesson so far, it was awesome. Pitching: we will be working a some new grips and using my legs and hips much more. During fielding, we will work on footwork, agility and shortening my throwing motion. Stayed tuned................ |
Updated Stats My 2009 stats are finally posted, finally. I started out slow this year trying to get used to the 16u pitching, but came on strong in the middle and end of the season |
QUALIFIED!!!!!! My temporary team and I took 1st place in this Disney ASA Qualifier. In six games we only gave up a total of 5 runs. I was 2-0 on the mound and gave up no runs. I went 6 for 12 at the plate with two doubles and a triple and 4 RBI's. It was COLDDDDD, but we had a great weekend!!! |
UPDATES Wow, it has been a little while since I have had anything to post. My 16u Bombers team has stopped playing because of high school season. Since I am not in high school, boo-hoo, I had to make other plans. I took a couple of weeks off to just to rest and let my bruises heal. I have started back with my lessons - pitching and hitting and have hooked up with a 14u team called the Clearwater Sharks to keep me playing til high school is over. This past weekend was my second tournamnet with them. I am having fun with the girls and playing good ball. It doesn't look like we have a tough schedule... |
RISING STARS - DAVIE, FL man, the weather was freeeezzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzing. One morning the tempature was in the 20's and rainy. we were so cold! My Bombers team and I went 4-0 (2 games were cancelled) Personally I got 2 hits on 4 official at bats. My team is breaking for high school season, but I am not playing high school - Im still in baby school as my teamamtes call it - Middle School.
I will be guesting with several local teams the next 4-5 months and will keep up my lessons and work a couple of clinics. I will post my yearly stats as soon as my dad finishes them |
Rising Stars Showcase This weekend is my last tournament before our team breaks for high school season - problem is Im not yet in high school. Oh well, I will be guesting around the next 4-5 months and working out. I will continue with my lessons and through in a couple days a week of speed and agility training and getting PUMPED for the summer when my team reunites!!! |
 | A BLAST IN ST. AUGUSTINE We took 2nd place in the 16u division at the St. Augustine Beach Classic. It was a great tournament and the weather was awesome. I batted .444 and had 4 rbi's. Spent the tournament playing first base and had a .982 fielding percentage - yuck, I let one by |
 | ANOTHER 2ND PLACE FINISH - DANG IT!!!! Our Clearwater Lady Bombers 16u team finish in 2nd place this weekend in our ASA Qualifer in Disney. We went 5-2 losing both times to the tournament winner. we missed our bid for Oklahoma.
I spent most of the weekend at 1st and 3rd and ended with a fielding % of .944. Pitched a few innings and gave up no runs, no hits, 3 strikeouts and no walks! Batted only .267 this weekend - ended up getting on because of alot of errors. Fields were hard and difficult to handle. Looking forwrd to the Florida's Finest Showcase in Tampa the end of October.

 | Florida's Finest Showcase Update All in all a good tournament. Not many coaches around so Saturday was a very mello day. Spent much of the day at first base and ended up going 1 for 2 at the plate - walked and got hit the other times. I pitched the last game on Sarurday and 1 hit the Seminole Warriors enroute to a win - yah me!
Sunday, the actual elimination part of the tournament started and we were one and down. we lost to the tournament host the Tampa Mustangs. I had no official at bats this game. |
 | Things are moving fast for me!!!! It seems like a while since I have had a chance to update my site. My guest opportunities with the Sharks on oct 17&18 went great. I hit, got lots of pitching time and had a ball getting to know these girls. I am excited to play with them when my team shuts down for high school season |
 | Cure for Cancer Tournament What a weekend - I am beat. I played 4 games with the Sharks on Saturday, stayed late Saturday night at the fields to watch (and cheer) for my friends. Went to Bombers practice Sunday morning at 9am and then went to finish the weekend playing for the Sharks at noon.
I didnt pitch to well on Saturday. I was really trying to focus on certain pitches. I had a really rough 1st inning, but settled down after that - I guess they all can't be perfect. I ended up going 6 for 12 at the plate with two doubles and a nearrrrrrrr miss for a home run. very tired but had a great weekend. |
 | PFX Tour Champions Our Lady bombers team won the 16u gold division of the PFX Tour in Clermonth Florida. we had a great weekend and gave up only 1 run over six games!!! I had a couple of shots to right field and ended up batting 300 for the weekend |
 | ASA States a Washout The ASA Florida State Tournament in Titusville was cancelled because of rain - the whole tourney, washed out. |
 | Helping Others I am assisting Kristi Paige - former college player at University of South Carolina (and my hitting coach) with several clinics throughout the Palm Harbor area. These clinics are for beginers and intermediate players looking to improve skills. We work on proper throwing techniques, hitting, bunting, agility and other softball related skills. Clinics are being held Sept 2, 3 and 4th at Canal park in Oldsmar Florida |
 | Short Layoff Finally Over It's been about three weeks since we last played in a tournament so I have been busy with hitting & pitching lessons, practice and had a chance to guest play. Our team has gone through a little makeover - we lost a few girls and added a few more through tryouts. Can't wait to see our new team when we play this weekend |
Michelle Smith Showcase News Tournament was rained out midway through. We played four games on saturday - I was 2 for 6 at the plate with 4 RBI's. We went 2 and 2 as a team. There were lots of scouts there. All in all a good day |
