Bantam II Angels win Eastern Canadian title
The Oakville bantam II Angels ran the table at last weekend's Eastern Canadian Championships in Nova Scotia, becoming the first local girls' softball team to win a national-level tournament. The Oakville Angels Bantam 2 team won the Gold medal at the USSSA 2008 Extreme Summer Heat, World Series Qualifier in Allentown, PA. The girls played an outstanding 6 games, winning the semi final by 1 run, and then going on to win the championship 6-1.

he Oakville bantam II Angels delivered a bit of payback, downing the Guelph Gators 7-3 to win the 14th Annual St. Catharines Ladies Softball Tournament.
