 | Bantam II Angels win Eastern Canadian title The Oakville bantam II Angels ran the table at last weekend's Eastern Canadian Championships in Nova Scotia, becoming the first local girls' softball team to win a national-level tournament.
Oakville dominated its out-of-province competition, defeating the Cornwall (Prince Edward Island.) Cougars 10-2, the Kent (New Brunswick) Psychos 13-0, the Colchester (Nova Scotia) Gators 8-1 and the Lions du Lac St Louis (Quebec) 12-0.

 | Angels in the infield The Oakville Angels Bantam 2 team won the Gold medal at the USSSA 2008 Extreme Summer Heat, World Series Qualifier in Allentown, PA. The girls played an outstanding 6 games, winning the semi final by 1 run, and then going on to win the championship 6-1. |
Bantam Angels win St. Catharines tourney he Oakville bantam II Angels delivered a bit of payback, downing the Guelph Gators 7-3 to win the 14th Annual St. Catharines Ladies Softball Tournament.
The Gators were undefeated heading into the final. Guelph had handed thhe Angels their only defeat of the tournament, topping them 10-2 in round-robin play.
