In practice this week with the Georgia Fire 18 Gold, the coaches had us run a number of plays and throw downs to 2nd base. Over a number of throw downs from receiving the pitch at the plate, my throw downs to second base to get the runner averaged in the 1.80's for a pop to pop time. |

| GA Fire 18 Gold went 7 - 1 at the Rising Stars
We went 7 - 1 at the Rising Stars. We lost our first (warm up ) game and a few errors cost uis the game. We were able to focus better in the remaing games and won the next 7. We played Gold teams from Maryland, New Jersey, Virginia, Florida and Canada.
Our GA Fire Coaches had a good look and know what they want to focus on in our upcoming workouts.
Looking forward to the spring and summer schedule and love my team mates.

I will be shooting a follow up video at the start of my Junior High School year (Aug 2010) and the start of my Senior High School year (Aug 2011) to demonstrate my skills development. I will graduate High School in May 2012.

We had a great showcase this weekend. We played well in all five games out scoring our opponents 27 to 5. This was our last Showcase this year. We'll practice until the Holidays and then be in sunny South Florida at the Rising Stars January 8th thru 10th. |

Following her recent trip to Italy with the 2009 America's Team, Amanda Marshall is preparing for High School Trytouts on August 3rd and 4th.

Amanda Marshall and the 2009 "America's Team" completed their last team practice at Wallace State College on Thursday and are ready for their intense trip to Italy to play several European teams including the Italian U21 National Fastpitch Team.
The 2009 America's Team is comprised of High School and College Players from around the US.
They are scheduled to play 7 games in Milan, Florence and Rome Italy. |

Amanda Marshall had a solid performance in the 16 Gold Bracket of King of the Mountain Sequel. Amanda racked up 2 home runs, a triple and four singles to help her team to a fourth place finish.
After catching five games behind the plate, Amanda became another injury on the already injury impaired 9 player North Georgia Fury roster. In the sixth game Amanda was helped by the on site nurse after being cleated behind the plate ... with some peroxide, bandages and a duct tape to fix the torn uniform she was cleared to return on the field to finish the game ... Oh and she got the out. |
