 | Champions Cup in Irvine was Great Experience Thank you to all the scouts that came out to watch our games. I pitched 6 of the 8 games the Choppers 16U team played. I had 3 wins, 1 tie and 2 losses. Two of the wins were shut outs. Both losses were close ones that could have gone either way. The heart breaker was the 9 inning 2 to 1 loss to the Pumas in the final 16 portion of the bracket. We had two shots at winning it and just couldn’t capitalize on those situations. But overall a pretty good showing for the Choppers. Love you guys! |

 | SoCal Choppers 16U Goes 4 & 1 at WorthCup Showcase SoCal Choppers 16U had wins over Desperados, Wicked, Villa Park Vipers, and SD Legacy Black and one loss to Corona Angels-Holt. Overall not a bad outing. Thought I broke my wrist and hand in the Angel game taking a high inside rise ball to my wrist on my pitching arm. But xrays came out negative. I couldn’t get much spin on the ball after I got hurt and let my team mates down – I am out for 10 days with a temporary cast, but I will be ready for the next round of games on Valentines weekend. Go Choppers – I love you guys! |

This game was a great defensive / pitching battle. The Coronal Angels scored a run in the international tie breaker. The Choppers tried to answer back with a controversial play at the plate that would have sent the game into another round. However the umpire was out of position and did not see the score and called the Chopper out for out number 3 after she tagged up on a fly ball to left field. It was a heart... |
