Travel ball is over! I am still doing my daily "core" workouts and going to my weekly batting lessons (twice a week) and attending Nina Lindenberg's weekly two hour fielding clinic in Beaumont, CA. I am looking forward to this summers season.

 | OC Hawks run the PYLGSA evaluations
Orange County Hawks players and parents volunteer and run the Placentia Yorba Linda Girls Softball Association player evaluations this weekend. As many as 200 girls will try out Saturday 1/09/10. This is our 3rd year running the tryouts for local coaches. "We hope to encourage and support each girl that tries out."

 | OC Hawks go 3 and O at OC Dynasty Friendly
We beat OC Dynasty, Santa Ana Extreme, and SO Cal Wicked in back to back games. Our hitting and fielding was perfect. The highlight reel was the throw from deep center field, from Sarah Little to SS Carissa Price and Marissa Cuomo at the plate to shut down Wicked 4 to 2 in the Seventh inning. Alex Jarvis pitched 6.5 innings for the win (she was stellar). Heather LaPier gets the save.

Carissa Price and the OC Hawks 18A have an excellent showing at the SO Cal Wicked Friendly in La Habra California. We lost by one run 2 -1 against Firecrackers Gold, lost 2-1 vs Miners Gold (Covina) and defeated Showtime Gold 3-1. Our infield was stellar as usual. |

OC Hawks had the biggest crowd this weekend at the So Cal Finest Fall Kick-Off in Hemet, CA. "Our stands were full Sunday for the Minors Gold vs. OC Hawks game." Amanda Pacheco sneak bunts to get on in the sixth inning and eventually scores tying the game, Carissa moves Ashley Navarette to 2nd base on a hard hit deep in the pocket and Janie Lednovich hits a double to win the game. |

Carissa hits 4 for 6 at Sudden Impact friendly in Beaumont California. One triple, one double, two singles, and one hit by pitch in three games. She was put out once along with zero strike-outs. She was also stellar with one sit and throw from deep in the pocket at SS. |

Carissa is the cheerleader and motivator for OC Hawks. She is the leader on the team. Her OBP is proof of her ability at bat and her fielding percentage is the lowest on the team. She is a wall at SS and 3rd base. DI coaches come see her work.
