 | El Segundo sees bright future "We won our last two games pretty convincingly and it was
really emotionally uplifting," said the coach.
Sophomore guard Samantha Heyman, who currently leads the Eagles
in scoring with 13 points per game, was named to the All-Tournament
team at Valley Christian.
Doering hopes the way his team played the last two games of the
tournament is more indicative of what potential success might lie
ahead for the Eagles. |

Prep Playoffs El Segundo remains the lone team still alive in the postseason playoffs as it defeated South Pasadena Tuesday afternoon, 1-0, in
a second-round game at home.
Samantha Heyman drove in Jenna Rich in the first inning for the lone
run of the game and Rich did the rest on the mound as she pitched
a no-hitter.
Nichole Pirada, who is one of the top pitchers in the Pasadena area,
gave up just three hits and took the loss for South Pasadena, which
finished the season 15-11.
El Segundo improved to 19-9... |
