Native American 18U National Champs 7/18-21/2012
The OK InterTribal Travelers just returned from Phoenix, AZ as the NABI Native American 18U National Champions out of a pool of 12 teams from Arizona, California, New Mexico, Nevada, Oklahoma and Utah. In the the five games we played, we outscored our opponents by a score of 54-0. Our great pitching allowed only 4 hits, pitched 2 no-hitters, 1 being a "perfect" game, and the only runner allowed past 1st base was thrown out at home plate. I batted 2-hole and was 11-15 @the plate, with 3 doubles, 8 runs scored, 4 rbi's, and 7 stolen bases. Of the 11 players that made the trip, 6 have signed to play college ball for 2012-13, and 3 will still be in HS this fall. Our coach, Bill Barry, was named NABI Coach of the Year. We received our trophies before the Arizona Diamondbacks ballgame in front of 35,000 fans and was even on the "big screen", this was a great way to end my travel ball career at my last tournament ever before starting college ball at NEO in Miami, OK on August 18th.
Creek Nation Women's Open Festival 6/22-24/2012
The OK InterTribal Travelers just finished playing in the Creek Nation Women's Open Division Fast Pitch Tournament in Okmulgee, OK. We finished tied for 5th out of a field of 24 teams. This tournament had no age restriction, so I got to face some current college & past college pitchers. Batting lead-off, I went 8-13 @the plate, with a HR, 2-doubles, 2-RBI, and 3-stolen bases. I went 2-3 with a 2B, off a pitcher that will be pitching in her 4th year at Texas Tech, 2-3 off a pitcher that pitches for Oklahoma City University, and I went 1-1 off a pitcher that pitches for St. Gregory's University. There were several Native American college players, past, present and future, represented in this tournament. It was a fun, but a really hot weekend!!
All-State Slow Pitch Game 6/16/2012
I just competed in my 2nd All-State Game this year, this time in the Oklahoma HS All-State Slow Pitch Game for the Small West. We ended in a 10-10 tie with the Small East Team at the University of Oklahoma's Softball Stadium. It wasn't my best day hitting since I've been back into fast pitch, but I did manage to go 1-2 at the plate. I started at 2nd base, played CF and catcher. I got to finish off my last HS softball game with two of my Binger-Oney teammates, Karlee Loula and Kaylee Sneed. We had a blast playing our last game for Head Coach Swart from Arnett and, his Assistant Coach, our own Binger-Oney Head Coach, Jason Wilson!!

We play June 22-24 in the Creek Nation Games in Okmulgee, OK. We will finish the season July 17-21 at the Native American Nationals in Phoenix, AZ.
All-State Fast Pitch Game 6/9/2012
Just played at the University of Oklahoma's Softball Stadium in the Oklahoma HS All-State Game for the Small West Team (Classes B/A/2A). We beat the Small East Team 17-0. I was the the starting catcher and my Binger-Oney HS teammate Karlee Loula was the starting pitcher. She was in the circle and I was behind the plate for the first 3 innings. I later played 2B & LF. I batted 2-hole, going 2-3 with an RBI and a run scored. I loved the team I was on and really had fun getting to know all the girls. It was very special to me getting announced while walking out with my HS Coach, Jason Wilson!! I have a tournament this week at HOF Stadium with my Travel Team, and play in the Oklahoma HS All-State Slow Pitch Game for the Small West Team next Saturday at the University of Oklahoma's Softball Stadium @ 11:00am, then my HS playing days will have come to end...but what a great ride!!!

Recruiting Visit 10/24/2011-NEO A&M in Miami, OK
Took a visit to Northeastern Oklahoma A&M in Miami, OK. It was a long drive, but well worth the trip. I liked talking with Coach Iverson and enjoyed walking around the campus. I really liked the fact they have a great program and winning tradition. The Lady Norse made the NJCAA National Tournament this year. I liked that they are intense about how hard they work and that they expect to win every time they walk on the field. It was a great visit.
