The Virginia Scrapper College Showcase Tournament in Salem, VA, is a softball tournament that is being held in conjunction with the Virginia Tech Fall Softball Tournament.
This is a softball showcase tournament and we want you to showcase your softball skills.
We are using a new format this year with no awards being presented at the end of the tournament.
We will be using the Moyer Complex, the Northside High School Complex, the Salem Civic Center Fields, Oakleys Field and Green Hill Park.
LOCAL TEAMS AND ANY OTHER TEAM THAT WOULD LIKE TO START AT EITHER 600PM OR 800PM ON FRIDAY MAY PLAY20ON FRIDAY EVENING DEPENDING ON NUMBER OF TEAMS ENTERED.

Tournament Rules: Tournament Rules The tournament will be conducted by the ASA Code with the following rules added. Four 4 games weather permitting.
1 Birth records and proof of insurance for all players required. All teams must be ASA registered
2 All games will be 1 hour 20 minute time limit. We will finish the inning. Games can end in a tie
3 Unlimited defensive substitutions and you can bat as many players as you want. minimum 9
4 Courtesy runner for the pitcher/catcher will be the last out.
5 Slaughter rule 15 after 3 12 after 4 and 8 runs after 4 innings.
6 Home team will be the official scorer.
7 Coaches are responsible for the conduct of their players and parents both on and off the field of play. Foul language as well as unacceptable conduct will result in player parent or coach being ejected from the softball complex.
8 All protest will be handled by the Tournament Director and the Umpire in Charge. All decisions are FINAL There will be a 300.00 charge for any protest.
