Kaysci McNeil-Thank, 2016
Homeruns are exciting. However they are more exciting when my team mates are on the bases. I love hitting them in. My coach gave me the sign for right center, 1st pitch. Done and done. It's exciting to hit a ball over the fence, as you know at that moment you get to come home. The ball I hit didn't clear the fence this time. It hit the fence. Hoping I picked up my team mates, I just ran looking for the signs. I thought this would be a triple, but rounding third I knew I could make it home. Second was throwing the ball to catcher, I came in under the tag. I love this game!
This is a huge week for me, I was informed this semester I made honor roll again. Some people might say she's lucky. Well I have never been lucky. I study hard and practice hard. This is nothing more than my hard work paying off and it feels GREAT!

Thank you softball showcase for profiling me over the years. I can now say that I officially verbally committed to St. Peter's University as a pitcher. I am proud to be a peacock.
Thanks to all my coaches over the years for helping me achieve my goal of playing softball at a Division 1 level as a pitcher. Without all your hard work, I couldn't have learned the skills needed to play at that level.
So Happy to have committed to UNG!
Alexis Duncan , 2016
After the UK deal fell through my coaches worked hard and I had several BIG D1 schools after me.....BUT when I went to visit the University of North Ga. I was blown away. Coach Davenport is a legend and also coaches the NPF team USSSA Pride. The campus was great, the city was great and the players/coaches AND FACILITIES were great. I am so happy to be a future NightHawk. 100% full turf field too!!! Nicest I've ever seen. Thank you Softball Showcase for helping me fulfill my dream. #HAWK'EM

Davie High School vs North Davidson High School
Makenzi Burchette, 2018
Not a good night for the Davie "War Eagles" and got beat 11 to 1 by North Davidson. I went 1 for 2 at bat with a line shot to the outfield getting a single. My second at bat I hit a line shot to the Short Stop which she caught for an out. I can't wait to play them again!
Hitting work with former ASU player Kristen Miller
Jordan Weidner, 2016
I continue to work with my hitting coach, former ASU player Kristen Miller. Working with her over the past two years has given me the skills to become more confident at the plate and has increased my bat speed and given me some amazing power.
Sage Creek High School's JV off to a Great Start!
Stephanie Milam, 2017
I am the starting pitcher for Sage Creek High School's JV Team. We are a new school, with only Frosh/Soph students. I will be in their first graduating class. Because we are so new and our school is building all of its athletic programs - our highest team is JV-- no Varsity yet. Even though we are young we have 2 Wins and 0 Losses. We beat Oceanside JV by more than 10 runs! I am so excited to see how much we grow this year. Go Bobcats!
